Lostwithiel This is probably the last passenger train ever to use the Fowey bay platform at Lostwitiel. The date is 28th April 1990 Copyright Roger Winnen. Note the platform ceased to be used when the Fowey branch closed on the 4th January 1965.

Note :- Quite recently the Branch Line Branch Line Society organised a comprehensive railtour of Plymouth and East Cornwall - one of the items on their 'Wish List' was the bay platform at Lostwithiel.  It is understood that Network Rail wanted an extra £1,000 to re-open the platform for one train - the B.L.S. reluctantly declined. The rails serving the Fowey platform are still there but unless somebody is prepared to pay then the CRS Railtour thirty three years ago was the last passenger train to use the platform.
