Owing to a fault with the class 150 unit today, GWR sent a Castle HST set consisting of 43189 and 43186 to cover two trips from par to Newquay and back.
I saw the second working at Luxuylan, this being the 13:10 Par to Newquay 2N06 service, with 43189 ‘Launceston Castle’ leading.
A couple of photos attached from a very grey and windy 10 minutes at the station. One shows the side of one of the coaches, which has clearly been brushing the lineside growth along the branch!
All the best, Jon

A quick trip to Newquay today as 43186 & 43189 (With GW07 set) worked 2 services from Par to Newquay return today in place of the usual Class 150, following arrival of 2N07 13.15 Newquay-Par, the 2+4 set then ran as 5N07 to Laira T&RSMD and services were then worked thereafter by FGW Blue liveried 150219
All the Best
