Sunday 28th January 1990
47530 crawls at it crosses from the up through line onto the by now very rarely used 2nd Loop line, with a train of empty ballast wagons.
Both traincrew keep a close eye on proceedings.
The area to the right used to be a rail served scrap yard that rarely saw any wagons by 1990.
Not really surprising the whole area has been radically cleaned in the years that followed....

Photo 1) Colas Class 70 811 with a load of track panels was at Treleigh Bridge (A3047), wrong line working on the down line.
Photo 2) Freightliner Class 66 594 NYK Spirit of Kyoto with empty ballast wagons was at between Drump road and Redruth station, wrong line working on the down line.
Photos 3) Colas Class 66 849 Wylam Dilly with new sleepers in numerous wagons, one of them OBA 11002 (photo 4), was at Redruth station, wrong line working on the down line, with Colas class 70 801 on the rear (photo 5).
Unfortunately I was unable to photograph one of the trains, it was just east of Wheal Bois crossing and I could only see the tail end. Report by Mick House
