With the Barnstaple branch closed for engineering work between 6th and 14th January 2024, various Colas and GBRf trains have made their way towards Barnstaple for relaying work, unfortunately most of these are in the hours of darkness, although it was possible to see Colas Rail 66846 in Barnstaple platform with the Truss wagon from the NTC machine (New Track Construction) not withstanding delays and cancellations 6C21 finally returned from site and is seen at Eggesford station working back to Westbury via Exeter Riverside.
70803 would only work as far as Exeter, where 70805 was dispatched from Westbury to work in top and tail formation on 09/01/24
