My 49 year railway career - and a bit more besides by Dennis Flood.
Dennis – our Chairman – spent much of his railway career in the Liverpool and Crewe areas where he encountered a wide range of events and incidents which he will illustrate and describe in his entertaining talk.
The meeting which starts at 6.30 PM is held at the Memorial Hall, Redruth Methodist Church. For details of the location please click here.
This will be a grand start to our 2019/20 season of indoor events.
C.D.A INFORMATION REQUIRED please.
I would like any information that your members can offer regarding the Air Ducts at each end of a C.D.A ? are they simply to create an air flow keep moisture from the china clay?
I have recently converted 5 x Dapol “0” gauge HAAs based on my photographs from the early 90s and the smaller of the ducts is always appears on the right hand side of the bigger central one.
Most recent “you tube” clips show the smaller duct to the left with the addition of an elongated duct on the right , is this a further modification to increase an air flow?
I am sure that Craig Mundy will know all of the facts .
I view the website daily and love the content old and new , so interesting.
Best wishes , Peter Radford . (Manchester Model Railway Society)
