I, K.J., really like this picture, not only does it give a good view of class 50 approaching the  junction with a service from London including a view of the 'Southern line' curving away to the left but it also show young gentlemen  who must be in their late 40's now playing about in the river. Something we boys, and nowadays girls would have loved to do. A great composition with the tumbling water.

​Not just one but two infrastructure trains within ten minutes of each other.

(1)   37610 on the 3Q52 18.03 Exeter Riverside - Penzance Network Rail UTU test train. The former 37181 entered service in October 1963. It is rare to see the UTU and 37 in daylight as it's a nocturnal working usually.

(2) Freightliner 66511 leads the massive HOBC (High Output Ballast Cleaner) near Aller. This is  6X3716.52 Fairwater - Aish via Laira Junction. This train is 2000 tonnes and has 66560 on the rear.
