Trains in early May
Craig Munday
Hi Keith
Hope everyone is keeping well, despite the dreadful, but necessary  lockdown dragging on.
Here are some pictures taken on duty in early May.
66012 took up the local CDAs working, a new number on the train for a good few years. It is seen at Golant, Par and St Blazey working the empties back to St Blazey.
It was then pictured on the 2nd (Saturday) performing the wagons shunt around the yard. After this the empty wagons were tripped up to Goonbarrow, and the loco is seen arriving back at a rather over grown Middleway with the short signal SB9 "off" for the down loop. This signal sees seldom use.
Enjoy, best regards Craig Munday.

Many thanks Craig, we hope for another batch of your pictures later in May.
Ilfracombe
David Tozer
David Tozer send in a couple of pictures taken during the last summer of operation of Ilfracombe station. The images are from a film which had gone distinctly blue but are 'history.'

The line from Barnstaple had previously reached a summit of approx 620' at Mortehoe and Woolacombe station and fell to the terminus at Ilfracombe station which was still over 200; above sea level.
