Gem from the past
Totnes Steam
Geoff Hurrell
I have been enjoying your excellent website and especially liked the Devon gallery. I grew up in London, but my relatives all lived in Totnes and we spent two weeks each year there between 1950 and 1962. Whenever I could I spent time on Totnes station and it was there that I took the attached photograph. It shows 5029 Nunney Castle double-headed by a D800 Warship (name unknown) waiting right away on the down platform. It is my own copyright and would be delighted if you consider including it in your gallery.
      Kind regards, Geoff Hurrell

Welcome to the website Geoff, and many thanks.

These pictures taken yesterday were received in good time but due to 'other pressures' I was unable to put them on site - apologies.  KJ

The second 'GTi' set for GWR GW02 took the place of regular set GW01 on the usual runs to Penzance today, with Power cars 43016 & 43040, managed to pop out from the Office to get the 3 enclosed shots for CRS of 2C45 and the return 2P85 workings All the Best Andrew.
