Roger is down in the dumps.  True or False?               Answer False
CRS Members who attend Roger's quizzes will appreciate the above.
Today acting on a 'tip off' Roger took the bus to Copperhouse and from there walked to location off Dracenea Avenue where the main line track is exactly level with the ground on both sides of the track.  Here a temporary ballast level crossing has been created allowing rubber wheeled vehicles to access spent ballast, or timber from the old viaduct floor which has been off loaded from the railwheeled 'dumper truck'. This was taken up the field which as been rented off a local owner and placed in temporary storage.

The main line tracks lie in the foreground, to the left towards Gwinear Road and to the right towards Hayle. The ballast 'infill' across the tracks has been continued up the field to provide hardstanding and pathways for the heavy plant. A temporary fence has been provided between the field and the main line.
Retracing his steps back to Chapel Lane and then passing under the main to take the public highway called Travassack Hill which borders the storage site (dump) viewing is difficult due to a high hedge. However one shot was taken.

Continuing up Trevassack Hill for another hundred yards then bearing left into Trevassack Manor Roger met an old acquaintance who owns the manor and who said that he could view the field, which he owns, from his property, however as Network Rail are renting the land he could go no further. Roger was well pleased with what he saw.

A further bonus for our foot sore cameraman, and for us viewers, was a tip-off that there was something going on down at Guildford Viaduct.

Many thanks to Roger, he's certainly not down in the dumps!
