Early warning                                                          - David Tozer

22/10/2014

Keith,  Providing we do not have any liquid falling on us tonight I will be out at Pinhoe. Yes, the opposition are coming back with a route refresher run from St David’s to Castle Cary. A shot of the last time it ran.
Dave  Many thanks David - we look forward  hopefully to receiving this evenings picture.

Interesting as 150121 was formerly 150921 recently disbanded. Oh it had wheel flats and sounded like a machine gun going along. This is the first 150/1 I have taken on the Southern. The working was 2044 5Z11 Exeter New Yard - Castle Cary. Surprised it ran as the services West of Salisbury have been in chaos, trains stopped short of destinations or cancelled  due to problems at Salisbury. This is the chaos you must expect when Cornwall is re-signalled. Failures of signalling appears to be a regular event these days. Thanks David for both of  your two photos.

The Clean sweep and The Bodmin & Wenford Branch Line Gala                                                                                        By Roger Winnen

19/10/2014

On Saturday 18th October the Bodmin & Wenford Railway held its Branch Line Gala consisting of 6435 with its Auto Coach and the 2 Car DMU in the early 1960s Green Livery.
Members of the CRS were involved in the running of this Gala, with Dave Letcher in the Signal Box, Shaun, Ella and Ben Harding working as train crew and Maurice Dart signing his new books one of which is Images of Bodmin Road to Padstow & Launceston Railways, a must for those interested in that area, and a good Christmas Present.

18/10/2014

Evening Keith,  Not the best photograph. Not sure why, but Exeter Panel put the 70013 on the 0608 Poole – Kingswear unusually through Platform 1 non stop. Hence it was right up close.  Regards Dave                        Glad you got it David.
