Skippers on the Newquay Branch

In John Vaughan's book on the Newquay Branch (OPC 1991) the author published a photo of a double 'Skipper' set on the Newquay Branch at Roche. On the same day, Saturday 23rd August 1986, I photographed the same set at St. Dennis Junction also on the 1123 Par - Newquay (See attached).

Were there any other occasions when a double set appeared?

Castles (and an IET) in the sun

Hi All

Sorry i am late to the party with these but last Thursday (29.08) was a decent day and ahead of a 6 day stretch at work i decided on a trip to Penzance, some lunch then a trip to Lands End.

I coincided my visit so that i could see 2 castle sets alongside each other at Penzance, which I believe only happens twice a day at 12.40 and 18.10. Welsh duo 43188 and 43187 were first in, followed some 25 mins later by 43186 and 43198.

Also in the station on my arrival was IET 802306 which has the World War 1 Vinyls along the bodyside.
