44871 and the support coach were detached, and ran to St. Blazey. They then reversed, the loco deposited the support coach in platform 3, before the loco left light engine for St. Blazey and turning. Copyright Owen Brown.

I chose not to follow the masses to the turntable at St. Blazey this week, and instead headed to Par Station to see 'rear gunner' 47812 perform some shunting. It runs back through Par Platform 3 to collect the steam locos support coach. Copyright Jon Hird.

Over to Moorswater for the return, where I was surprised to see the loco putting on a real display and building up a fair bit of speed - I've only ever previously seen tours coast through here. The exhaust was much appreciated! Copyright Jon Hird.

The drone, of course, was in position and ready for the '2 for the price of 1' shot, as the train crossed Moorswater Viaduct. Copyright Jon Hird (taken by a willing assistant!).
