47816 at Bodmin
Jon Hird

Picture
47816 waits departure from Bodmin Parkway with the up 'sleeper' on 16.01.2004. The loco is believed to still 'exist' although has been canabalised to keep the Locomotive Services Limited fleet running, so what state it is in now remains to be seen. Copyright Jon Hird.

Not your usual 'spotters'!
Colin Pidgeon

Picture
From Ken Mumford: My good friend, COLIN PIDGEON, has just sent this photo to me. I feel that it is worth passing on - he has given me the permission to do so. Apparently deer are regular visitors to the old GREAT WESTERN MAIN LINE electrification depot at the back of Dean Street just west of Swindon station. Colin and I have seen foxes on the north side of platform 1 at that station in the past. Photo copyright Colin Pidgeon.
Many thanks Ken and Colin - the railway can provide a great habitat for wildlife in places.
