HST's - Ten weeks to go
Clive Smith

As we only have the GWR Castle 255s for another ten weeks, here's a few shots from me from the last week. Get them while you can.

I never get tired of taking photos of 43093. Here it as Penzance. 04.10.2025, copyright Clive Smith.
A superb selection Clive, many thanks. We will certainly miss them.

Dawlish Delights
Steve Clark

I recently ventured to Dawlish for the Class 175 trip to Exeter St Davids plus another stab at 2E06, after my last effort was compromised!! The sea was fairly choppy considering the weather was quite settled and there were opportunities for some shots with Sea Spray being thrown up against the Sea wall.
Picture
A Jogger takes rest on the sea wall as 175114 leads 175002 on the 5Z21 09.07 Plymouth to Plymouth via Exeter St Davids. 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
I couldn't have asked for a better result!! 43187 'Cardiff Castle' leads GW06 with 43098 'Walton Castle' on the rear as they speed along the sea wall with the 2E06 07.45 Penzance to Exeter St Davids. 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Given the superb weather, I was surprised how few people were walking along the Sea wall. More waves crash in as 166201 approaches with the 2T12 09.24 Exmouth to Paignton. Langstone Rock dominates the background. 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Another nice clean Turbo approaches in the form of 166202 working 2F13 the 09.45 Paignton to Exmouth. 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Even at 11am, the waves were still making their presence felt and 166204 slows for its booked call at Dawlish on the 2T13 10.00 Exmouth to Paignton. 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Final shot of a superb hour sees the 175's return on the 5Z21 Training run. It remains to be seen how these units will cope on a stormy Devon day when the waves are much bigger than they were on this occasion and water ends up on the tracks and potentially down the engine ports!! 26.09.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Many thanks Steve - great photos.
