'A line in the sand'
During a BBC Radio Devon interview yesterday, 30.09, GWR MD Mark Hopwood confirmed that his companys remaining short formed HST sets will be withdrawn by 'the second week of December' (presumably the 13th December timetable change).
Remaining power cars with GWR are: 43004, 43042, 43092, 43093, 43097, 43098, 43156, 43186, 43187, 43188 and last-built 43198.

Arguably one of the most interesting workings of the year occured today (30.09) when a pair of class 20's worked from Burton O.T Whetmore sidings to Fairwater yard and back.
20205 and 20007 are seen passing Creech St. Michael in the return trip as 6Q75 having collected a couple of items of track plant.
Its great that such iconic locos still have a place on the modern railway.
