More new 'old' photographs

I travelled with my grandad from St Thomas’s to NA via Teign Valley line which my dad had used to travel to school etc. in NA when living in Christow.
By 1957 Grandad was living in Exeter in a house with a wonderful view looking out over Ide. I was 13 years old.
I can see my grandad on a seat and his stick appears in the other.
I now can’t work out the trip; if the Teign Valley train is in a bay how did we get to NA?
Oh yes, took Moreton Hampstead to NA train perhaps, then main line home? Well it is 67 years ago!

Clinnick Clay & Castle

GWR's 43004 leads the 13:15 Penzance - Plymouth over Clinnick Viaduct. 43004 is the second-oldest power car still in regular service (43003 exists with Scotrail). 43187 was on the Penzance end of the set. 17.10.2024, copyright Jon Hird.
Shortly afterwards, along came DB Cargo 66152 with 6C10, 10 JIA wagons containing china clay travelling from Par Harbour to the Midlands. 17.10.2024, copyright Jon Hird.
The Pentewan Locomotive

On 15.07.1978, Roger peeked inside the engine shed at Pentewan and took this photograph of the small locomotive within, long after the railway had fallen into disuse. Copyright Roger Winnen.
46 years later, the same locomotive is displayed at the Wheal Martyn China Clay museum, St. Austell. Copyright Jon Hird.
