Devon Delivery

On Wednesday 15th October, WCRC class 57 57010 delivered a set of 4 Mk1 coaches to the South Devon Railway.

It is believed that these coaches will, as last year, be used to increase the number of coaches available to the railway over their busy Christmas period.

Many thanks all. An inventive use of rolling stock which can no longer convey passengers on the mainline.

Dawlish Rewind
Steve Clark

Picture
Continuing the theme of piccies which now have more relevance now that I am in the West Country, back in 2018 we paid a visit to Dawlish specifically to capture the Loco hauled Penzance to Exeter service which utilised the Day coaches off the Night Riviera stock. On the date of our visit, 57604 'Pendennis Castle' was in charge. Copyright Steve Clark.

Cornish HST Hunt

The clocks go back in just over a week. The weather forecast is not good for next week. The autumn coloured leaves are falling off the trees. The HSTs have less than sixty days left in the west of England. Time is running out.
