Momentary relief from the Hayle viaduct. Looking back 14 years, the 14th May 2000 brought the Pathfinder Tours Torbay Quarryman to Devon. This was hauled by 31601 and 602. 66009 and 108 powered the Exeter, Meldon, and Paignton section.

000514a Here we see the 12 coach Torbay Quarryman 1Z38 on its return leg hauled by 31601 and 31602 just having passed the site of Aller Junction on Sunday 14th May 2000. Copyright Roger Geach. There have been a lot of changes here, the greenery to the left has been swept away in the name of progress = the Kingskerswell by-pass and, of course the bridge which formed a wonderful stand for this picture has also gone.
