Recent round-up
Steve Clark

Picture
With workmen gone and a fine day in prospect i thought i would take some tentative footsteps back into photography with my first trip out after my Op. Staying local, i managed my first visit to this location and fotted 43098 'Walton Castle' at the head of the 2C11 10.14 Plymouth to Penzance. 43186 'Cardiff Castle' brings up the rear. 21.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Another location first for me and i was unsure what light would be available. With 2 Castle sets due to pass 15 mins apart, first up was the Westbound 2C26 13.40 off Plymouth with 43093 'Berkley Castle' leading with its Old Oak Legends vinyls. 21.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
The sun was fairly harsh as it was dropping but it is what it is!! 43186 'Cardiff Castle' leads 2P16 the 13.15 Penzance to Plymouth as it heads West - next stop Liskeard. The magnificent Glyn Valley forms the backdrop. 21.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
The Class 175 training runs have been a bit sporadic this week but one produced today so thought it rude not to grab a shot on my way home. This is the 5Z12 06.26 Plymouth to Plymouth via Totnes and Penzance. 21.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
With the train stopping briefly to do a door test there was a chance for 'double stamps'. 175007 moves slowly away from the shadows with the last leg of the run up to Plymouth with the 5Z12 Crew training trip. 21.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
Picture
Adding a splash of colour on a dismal day is 66051 'Maritime Intermodal Four' as it grinds its way up the Luxulyan Valley and alongside the River Par with the 6V76 Westbury to Goonbarrow Jn empty Clay with 18 JIAs in tow. 22.11.2025, copyright Steve Clark.
A great selection - many thanks, Steve.

A chilly day at Swindon
Ken Mumford

Picture
On my arrival at the station I found one [3J41 - Swindon Transfer to Swindon Transfer via the world] of the two RHTTs waiting its path east alongside platform 3, but as I started to take photos, the other RHTT [3S59 Moreton-on-Lugg to Swindon Transfer] came gliding up the UML [Up Main Line]. 3S59 waited on the UML from 1358 to 1404 when it departed for the short journey to Swindon Transfer. Meanwhile 3J41 headed east on the Up Main Line not returning to Swindon Transfer for some 8 or so hours!! 24.11.2025, copyright Ken Mumford.

Many thanks Ken. 59201 is looking especially clean.
