Night at work then a day on the clay.   From Craig Munday

4/7/2014

Hi Keith
Wed 2nd July was a strange day of photography. I started at 03.40 in the morning with 6W56 with 66232 working 10 Autoballasters to Penzance and return to St Blazey. This was taken during a night shift.
The shift ended in brilliant July sunshine so a broadside shot of 57305 passing over the bridge west of Par station was quickly snapped. The tree growing up there is a shame!
Home for some shut-eye then up & out to capture 66176 working the Parkandillack - Fowey 6P24 service. Photos were taken at Treviscoe whilst loading. The train then ran in two portions to Burngullow, where 66176 can be seen light engine having dropped off the first portion of 16 wagons before travelling back to collect the remaining 21.
The train was then photographed along the Fowey branch with St Winnow church in the background. The river was at low tide unfortunately.
Making the most of the lovely weather.  Kind regards  Craig    The question is, how does he do it - standing up to the rigours of shift work and still finding the energy go out chasing trains - but thank heavens he does.  He must have eternal youth!!

Leaving behind the first train 66 176 leaves Burngullow to head up the Parkandillack branch to Treviscoe to collect the second rake of CDA's. (It was the day of the departure of Imery's shunter 'Denise' - probably the first view of the empty space!!) 2nd July 2014 Copyright Craig Munday.

A slight puff of smoke as 66 176 encourages her load of 37 CDA's along the Fowey branch with St Winnow church in the background. (A Twelfth century church substantially rebuilt in the fifteenth century, St Winnow's may stand on the site of a Celtic monastery. The north wall is the only remaining part of the original twelfth century building) The river was at low tide unfortunately but still a lovely picture. 2nd July 2014 Copyright Craig Munday
