70015 passing through the scenic Avon Valley at Freshford with the heavily loaded 4O57 1329 Wentloog - Southampton Maritime freightliner. Note the pile of abandoned scrap rail sections to the left, these are accompanied by a pile of unused concrete sleepers left over from a relaying job here in February 2024. Regrettably, increasing amounts of scrap metal, redundant materials and general detritus / litter now abound along both the Bristol -Westbury and Chippenham - Trowbridge routes. 07.05.2025, copyright Guy Vincent.

Freshford sleepers from Feb. 2024. Not much good here but very useful elsewhere. Bought with public money. Please, get them moved someone!! 07.05.2025, copyright Guy Vincent.
