Royal Duchy Preparations
Guy Vincent

Another heritage sight at Bristol Temple Meads with WCRC's 47848 passing up the down through line en-route from Southall to Kingsland Road sidings with the empty stock for the first Royal Duchy of 2026, due to run on Sunday 31st.  34028 Eddystone and its support coach had been detached at Bristol West and then run direct to St Philips Marsh depot via the Bristol avoiding line.

How these timeless 1970s Mk 2 carriages are missed today.  Elegant, comfortable, airy and a pleasure to travel in.

Many thanks Guy, a great looking rake of coaches, although perhaps a little unsuited to having a steam loco bolted to the front of them!
