Many thanks indeed for these fantastic images, Roger. Full of interest - I'm sure they will be much enjoyed.

Hallenbeagle Crossing Castles
Andrew & Diane Jones

Dear Keith, Jon and Roger, please find attached photographs of Castle class sets operating today 24th March 2025 at Hallenbeagle foot crossing near Scorrier - two Castle class services just 15 mins apart.

The promised sunny weather failed to materialise but misty conditions typical at this location adds to the mystic.

Many thanks Andrew & Diane, wonderful photographs and you got lucky with the timing!

Around Taunton
Bill Elston
Hi Roger,
Some interesting traffic through Taunton today,
First,  the stone empties from  Riverside Yd with 59104,
closely followed by route learner GBRf 69003, to Taunton, both seen passing Norton Fitzwarren.
This loco immediately returned to Plymouth and is seen passing  Fairwater Yard.
Later in the afternoon, a rake of empty box wagons was sent from Cardiff Tidal Sidings to Exeter Riverside Yd,
drawn by GNRf  66772, and is seen passing Bathpool.

Hope these are of interest
Best wishes
Bill

Continued Class 69 Wanderings
Clive Smith

Picture
The cast has changed but the script is still going awry. New boy 69003 in GBRf livery chunters past Cantrell Works near Bittaford with what turned out to be a movement from Tiverton Loop to Plymouth rather than from Taunton. The outward morning working from Plymouth skipped going to Mount Gould Junction. 24.03.2025, copyright Clive Smith.
Picture
Langham Levels in western Ivybridge where the road passes very close to the track but at a lower level with no pallisade fencing or vegetation. Not a place to photograph a full train but ideal for a single loco. This was taken about 15.00 on the 0Z48 13.38 Taunton - Liskeard GBRf route learner running about half an hour early. 25.03.2025, copyright Clive Smith.
Many thanks Clive - the light loco is a great fit for both locations.

Well caught, Dave - many thanks.
