Nancegollan Station 1962
Kit Miles

To the Cornwall Railway Society

This photo was taken during a family visit to Cornwall in 1962. The triple turnout fascinated me and I later built a model TT3 layout with this feature in the track using Peco components. I hope this may be of interest.

Best regards,

Kit Miles

Many thanks for sharing this one with us, Kit - a fascinating view of the once extensive yard. Wonderful stuff.

Swap of the 69’s
Simon Smith

Hello,

I've been following the Cornish adventures of 69005 through you with interest and spotted it seemed to be being swapped with 69003 today, to/from Eastleigh via Reading, assume the works at Salisbury prevented going that way. I was looking at Open Train Times and despite the booked route being via Reading for 0Z69 Plymouth Park-Eastleigh, it was briefly given a road on the Dilton Marsh line at Westbury, which caused a brief flutter. Thankfully it did head our way.

I think this is the first 69 through here at Kintbury, although if it is them it was only a couple of hours til the next one.

Both 0Z69 and 0Z70 spent time at the same time in platform 2 at Reading on the day.

I am on the Berks and Hants and keep an eye on anything heading your way! I am trying to get a shot of every class from the same bridge in Kintbury and this was another one done.

Thanks for the resource, I love the daily posts and many happy memories of my Cornish adventures.

Many thanks, Simon. We’ll keep an eye out for 69003. Very glad to read you enjoy the site!
