Rail replacement at Swindon

Hello friends,
Engineering works east and west of Swindon today (22.03) and tomorrow.
Buses were provided as follows:-
READING - non-stop
DIDCOT PARKWAY - non-stop
CHIPPENHAM - direct.
Talking to one of the staff supervising the replacement service, there was a steady stream throughout the day, though there were times when several coaches arrived at the same time.

158768 which came in from Cheltenham Spa via Gloucester and Kemble as 2B90 and departed back the same route as 2G11. Had an interesting chat with the guard. 22.03.2025, copyright Ken Mumford.
158760 framed between two upright posts - this was an experiment of mine pointing west as the sun was beginning to set, hence several shots of it arriving as1L82 but I did not record its departure as 1G23. I did wait to see the arrival of this working as RTT has it down as an EXPRESS PASSENGER! BUT I checked its timings to and from Swindon and it made the SAME STOPS as the previous train [2B90 and 2G91] AND took exactly the same time!! So why was the second train given an Express Passenger status? On a positive note BOTH workings from Cheltenham carried quite a load of passengers when they alighted at platform 2. 22.03.2025, copyright Ken Mumford.
