Spring Delights
Craig Munday

A variety of workings were captured in the beautiful Spring sunshine of 20th March across the Duchy. A day later (the start of Spring) sees laden skies and rain, typical!

Light locomotives are tricky to capture in landscape, so some close up locations worked best for GBRf's 69005 on its crew learning ramblings. The temporary footbridge at Lostwithiel worked for the down 0Z50. The view is ruined with so many vertical posts and poles these days. 20.03.2025, copyright Craig Munday.

The onto Bolitho East of Liskeard for four workings, all within an hour more or less. 2P15 / 2P16 Castle sets and 69005 and EWS liveried 66089 working 6M53 (Treviscoe to Stoke) - this being the only mineral train due to the Newquay engineering. The norm resumes next week thankfully.

Dawn chorus at St. Austell
Steve Clark

I had a busy day going around London on Wednesday, going up on Tuesday nights Sleeper and coming back on Wednesday nights Sleeper. Haulage was 57305 on 1A50 and 57603 on 1C50.

I arrived back in St Austell virtually on time and was pleased to see the 6V05 Clay was following.

The Cutting at St Austell was nicely lit with early morning sunshine and at 7am 66089 clagged its way towards me, heading for the Treviscoe branch.

50 images from my day out in London are now loaded to Flickr!! (click here)

Many thanks Steve - a striking image!
