More Western Region Split-box 37s

Some colour photo scans of split-box class 37s around the Westbury area between 1978 and 1999.
Class 37s were used in pairs on traffic originating from the major Somerset quarries mostly between 1977 (following the demise of the class 52 Westerns) and 1983 when class 56s took over although they still made irregular appearances for some years after.

Saturday 15th July 1978 and 37020 makes a for a very rare sight at Westbury with an unidentified container train, I would guess possibly from the London (Stratford) area? 37020 was later refurbished, renumbered 37702 and named Taff Merthyr. Towards the end of its career it was sent to Spain and used on construction trains with other class members. 37702 was broken up in Spain in 2007. Copyright Guy Vincent.

Re: 37064 - a rare working at the time. It was an 0910 Norwich to Paignton, possibly a saga working. I think it stopped Exeter for a crew change (and so the local bashers could get on).
I don't know what the return working was or what 37064 did afterwards.

Nice to see pictures of 37109 around Exeter.
This was very much a March based loco for many years and a regular in East Anglia on passenger, parcels and freight.
The loco was transferred to Motherwell May 1987 then to Thornaby Metals sector in 1989 and then to Cardiff Canton 10 5 1992 and then to Bristol Bath Road 5 /1993 in the Infrastructure pool when no doubt it became far more common down west as shown in Bil Elston pictures.
The loco is preserved based on the East Lancs Railway.
I enclose a picture of the loco in blue working the North Walsham to Harwich Parkeston carless tanks on a very cold day crossing the River Stour at Cattawade nr Manningtree the Essex / Suffolk border on the 08.02.1986.
