'Double Stamps' on the clay

Monday 22nd brought the unusual sight of 2 locos at the head of a Cornish clay train, with GBRF 66755 leading failed 66712 plus 9 loaded JIA's as 6M53 - a special train from Goonbarrow - Cliffe Vale.
The wagons had been loaded at Par Harbour last Wednesday, but were stranded in Cornwall after 66712 failed with a water leak.

Barking Riverside

This may be too far out of the CRS area to be used which is ok with me but I thought it might be of some interest to members.
We’ve just returned from a few days in London which included being roasted alive at the Test Match on Friday.
On Saturday we took a river trip along the Thames from the new and still very much under construction riverside facility at Barking.
Barking Riverside is a new station construction opened in July 2022 at the Eastern end of the line from Gospel Oak named the Suffragette Line.
The station still looks brand spanking new as do the Aventra Class 710 units which run on it.
Here are a few photos from our visit and as you will see it was VERY quiet even at 11-15 in the morning although it feels that it will get very much busier as the rest of the infrastructure takes shape over the coming years.
