Here is a picture of 67007 waiting with the 19.45 to Bristol on the penultimate evening.(8 January 2004 if my record is correct).

January Chills

Happy New Year!

The first few days of January 2025 have brought all sorts of weather. 

A few photos below.

The 2nd Jan saw sharp sunlight and 2C11 was pictured at Rosevidney heading west. The signals standing out starkly against the leafless trees. The top of St Uny church and the dunes at Hayle Towans can be seen in the distance. Copyright Craig Munday.

Frozen signals affected the Newquay line on 3rd Jan and a wonderful frozen winter landscape was slowly melted by the rising sun. The second Newquay service pauses to collect the token. Copyright Craig Munday.

The JIA's parked in St. Blazey yard on the morning of the 3rd January as the sun thaws out the county. Copyright Craig Munday.

57603 worked the Night Riviera stock to Reading on 4th and was pictured at Doublebois in murly conditions. Copyright Craig Munday.
