Whistle-off (Rail 200)

Like many heritage railways the West Somerset Railway had a whistle-up event at midday on 1st January 25. 

The event taking place at Bishops Lydeard with 7828 Odney Manor and Class 33 D6566, at midday lots of whistling and hooting. There was also an appearance of actors from the WSR Xmas panto trains and a number of the public also came to support the event.

It was a shame the weather was so wet..

'The Green Express'

02.05.2005 - 47854 departs Paignton with 'The Green Express' as 1Z67. It ran ECS to Dawlish where it picked up passengers who had travelled down from Leeds earlier in the day. The loco had been freshly repainted in WCRC maroon. Copyright Jon Hird.
