New Year Resolutions

Roger, Now we see Michael Adam’s shot of ‘Resolution’ waiting to leave Bristol Temple Meads on 20 June 1987 with a Portsmouth to Swansea service. The loco. was withdrawn in 1991 and scrapped in August the next year. Copyright Michael Adams

Good afternoon , My last offerings for this year are, 1) 1V48 Newcastle to Plymouth led by ex-Avanti 221115,at Creech.

2) 6F11 1216 Fairwood jct to Hinksey yard, Oxford, via Fairwater yd, hauled by Colas 66847 Terry Baker. Both seen passing Creech.

Sadly a work of fiction, but wouldn't it be nice? Port of Par saddle tank 'Judy' imposed on a modern-day image of the infamous bridge which she and brother 'Alfred' were constructed to fit beneath, at Par Harbour. The Harbour railway system passed beneath the Cornish mainline to access clay dries set into the hillside behind the camera. Copyright Jon Hird.
