The train is certainly no longer thundering along, as it slows to a crawl on the final approach to Goonbarrow at Lavrean. The area to the right of the locomotive has recently been cleared by the landowners which allows a little light to reach the railway. 17.01.2026, copyright Jon Hird.

Some more Western Region nostalgia from my visits to Old Oak in the early 90s. Sadly the Depot had also started to become a dumping ground for Class 47s and 50s that were displaced from the WoE line by 159s and Thames Valley Commuter services by 165/166 Turbo's
