Barry Jones
Hello Keith,
You have a wonderful archive on your web-site and many fascinating photographs of which I’ve only seen a small number so far.  I’m about to give a presentation to the Plymouth Railway Circle and your web-site provided some useful information around the closure of the Bull Point branch near Weston Mill in Plymouth so thank you.
Your request may no longer be current but you asked if anyone had any photographs of the railtour to Bull Point in 1980 so I’ve attached a couple to this mail.  Paul Burkhalter might also be interested so if you can forward them to him as well he might be grateful.

With kind regards, Barry  -   Barry Jones  Plymouth
Delighted to be able to help and delighted to see your pictures - real rare Gems on the secretive military branch.  Many thanks Barry.

Fortunately for us John Cornelius was a signalman at Chard Junction which gave him the opportunity to photograph and for us to see unusual workings over the 'Southern'. Here is an example, Many thanks John.
Storming start from Taunton
Mike Morant
Picture
April 7th, 2001 saw the running of the Double Duchy rail tour which was steam hauled from Taunton westwards. The intended motive power for this double-header was a pair of Hall class 4-6-0's but one of them failed and was replaced by a Castle class. Here we see Collett Hall no. 4936 Kinlet Hall and Castle no. 5029 Nunney Castler at Silk Mills as they make a storming start from Taunton.
