Axminster - Hampshire Unit
Brian Pibworth
Good Morning Keith,
Today's posting from John Cornelius brought back memories of unusual workings through Axminster in the early 80s.  Attached is a murky pic of a Hampshire unit which was pressed into service to deputise for the usual train and was itself failed during the journey and given a shove from a "spare" class 33.  I haven't any details of the event other that it is in my 1981 album  but as I recall it took place in fading light, during a thunderstorm and might have been the return working of the Saturday only Brighton - Plymouth service.
With kind regards,  Brian  Many thanks Brian
