Many thanks to Mike Simmonds for passing on his knowledge of the Colas Class 66 heading westwards through Redruth.

Network Rail Measurement Train back in Cornwall
yet again
.
By Mick House.

The 05.25 Old Oak Common to Paignton via Penzance Network Rail Measurement Train got off to a slightly bad start, leaving at 05.28 ¼, by the time it past me at the site of the old Chacewater Station it was on time and arriving five minutes early at 11.28.
On its return one minute late off of Penzance 12.27 the weather decided not to play ball, so I got wet as it passed me under Apex Bridge.
The things we do for CRS.

66847 visited from Par.
By Mick House.

66847 ran from Par at 10.40 five minutes early to Penzance 11.49 seven minuets late and then back to Par arriving 13.09 nine minutes late.
She was doing a run with the Fugro test equipment attached; unfortunately I did not get a very good photo, so I edited the best one I had.
