The RHTT is back.
Craig Munday
Hi Keith
66160 & 238 brought down the RHTT vehicles from Westbury today. A lucky break in the weather saw warm sunshine for the passage of the move passing Restormel.
Kind regards  Craig

This is the now, usual combination of locos and vehicles. Please, I don't want the website 'saturated with pictures of the same train' I appreciate your interest but please allow me to use my discretion as to what goes on the website. Rare views such as above are interesting but I wish to keep the interest of our viewing public and for the site not to become boring.  KJ
Chippenham
Roger Winnen

On his way to London a week ago today Roger took these shots of Chippenham station.  Many thanks Roger
Picture
Chippenham sports, to us, a new footbridge complete with lifts. The former down platform has been trackess for many years with only the island platform remaining in use. 6th October 2016 Copyright Roger Winnen
Picture
As can be seen for this view of the London End of Chippenham station much of the original architecture remains in place, The porters once used to shout "Chippenham, change for Calne". However those days are long gone, the Calne branch which closed in 1965 used to terminate in a bay where the down main line now runs - the bay later being extended to form a through platform. 6th October 2016 Copyright Roger Winnen
Cogload
From a different angle
Andrew Jones
I have included a panoramic view of the junction, taken adjacent the war time gun emplacements. I often walked from Taunton along the tow path of the canal, to this spot, on those amazing weekends in your youth, where there seemed to be endless amounts of time.
The second is a Warship/Hymek combination, which was fairly rare, the Hymek was being dragged, I presume to Laira for attention.
I really didn’t realise how lucky I was back then, the activity was riveting, so much so that I did not notice a curled up adder by my side for the duration!
 Best wishes Andrew                      Many thanks

A most unusual view of Cogload as down train from Paddington headed by a class 47 is about to pass under the Bristol line perhaps with the tail end of down train from Bristol still on the flyover. 1970 Copyright Andre Jones
Picture
An enlargement of the above in which one can see Cogload signalbox in the distance and the 'board' pulled off for an up train for Paddington. Had this train been slightly earlier we might have seen three trains in the same shot! 1970 Copyright Andrew Jones.

Same day, same place we spot a Warship hauling a Hymek pssibly for attention at Laira. 1970 Copyright Andrew Jones
