Passing along this stretch of line I've often noted an ornate bridge on the up side about one mile east of the former Wellington station.

On the up journey after passing the site of Somerton station and crossing a viaduct the line enters a delightful valley soon passing over this most interesting structure not visible to train passengers. Many thanks to Colin Burges for this photograph.

About 1.5 miles east of Somerton the 'new line' crosses the B3153 by means of this delighful bridge which comprises of no less than six arches. which Colin Burges imagines was designed to simplify the centering .Copyright Colin Burges
