Important announcement re visit to Beer Heights Railway

Cornwall Railway Society Visit to the Beer Heights Railway and the Seaton Tramway  
Saturday 7th June 2014

 Amended timetable for the visit.

Purchase the following tickets.  An Off Peak Day Return to Plymouth and also a Devon Day Ranger Ticket at any Station Booking Office.

Penzance 06.50 St Erth 07.00 Camborne 07.11 Redruth 07.18 Truro 07.31 St Austell 07.48 Par 07.56 Bodmin Parkway 08.10 Plymouth 08.52 Exeter St David's 09.52/10.25 Axminster Station arr 11.05 Bus Service dep outside of the station at 11.12 Axe Valley Service 885 to Seaton Marine Parade arriving 11.40, change into the Axe Valley 899 service to Peco at Beer, this bus drops you to the door at 12.00hrs. Providing that we have over 7 in the group the entry would be £8.55 giving us two train rides.

I suggest we depart at 14.15 Walk down the hill to Beer Cross 600 yds for the 14.28 X53 service to Seaton arriving at 14.40.

The Seaton Tramway operates a 20 min frequency service to Colyford and Colyton.

Dep Seaton opposite The Seaton Tramway 885 Axe Valley to Axminster at 16.26 arriving at Axminster Station 16.50hrs.

Train dep Axminster 17.03 arriving Exeter St David's 17.42

We have a locomotive hauled train of rolling stock off the night Sleeper departing Exeter St David's 17.50 stopping at all major Cornish Stations arriving Truro 20.29 Redruth 20.42 Camborne 20.49 and Penzance 21.11.

This train has no Buffet Facilities, don't die of starvation.

A Cross Country service to Penzance departs Exeter at 17.47 where buffet facilities should be available to Plymouth only.

In the event of missing connections at Seaton and Axminster the following would apply.

X53 Seaton to Exeter at Departs Marine Place at 17.27 arr Exeter Bus Station 18.32 then the 18.49 Exeter Central to St Exeter St David's 18.53 then the 19.34 to Plymouth changing into the 20.40 to Penzance arrive 22.44

18.03 Axminster arrive Exeter St David's 18.42 then the 18.46 to Penzance arr 21.42 or 19.34 to Plymouth arr 20.35 and change into the 20.40 to Penzance arr 22.44
