Ashbury Crossing
Ken Mumford
Here, for a very long time, the Shrivenham to Ashbury road has been bisected by the railway but if one looks on both sides of the railway there is evidence of single and double white lines leading to both sides of the former level crossing. Now there are large concrete blocks!! There was also once a signal box.

Catching up with 66152
Neil Phillips
Firstly, I believe it was the first '66' to receive DB Schenker (as it was then) red livery, and it appears to be unique in using a number font derived from the previous EWS livery.
Secondly, turning the clock back to the early morning of Saturday 9th August 2003 while at Reading awaiting the arrival of D1015 'Western Champion' on the 'Royal Duchy' tour, a still relatively new 66152 was standing on the centre road with a long rake of former Yeoman PGA hopper wagons now in departmental service. It was still there when we set off on our historic journey returning the first Western to Penzance in over 26 years!
