The train left Par at around 09:00hrs.

As far as I am aware (or can remember!) 37047 and 37308 were in the area for a few weeks of crew route learning.

The shot was taken at 08:50hrs.

I do recall just how cold that morning was, but I have no idea if they made it to Meldon.

Many thanks indeed Julian - your photos brought back some happy memories. I'm sure they'll be much enjoyed by our readers.

​I seem to recall that the locos were used for a few Meldon ballast trains (for the Burngullow dualling) as 66's weren't - at that time - cleared up the branch.
