In reply to John Roberts question about the 400m of track being renewed at St. Blazey, this is due to start from Friday 14th March and I believe will take place on the curve from Par.
I was told the other day by a Signalman that trains are currently unable to pass each other going round the curve due to the cant of the track and gauging issues.
Therefore, one or the other has to be held at Par or St. Blazey for the other to pass.

57 action at Powderham

Last nights (14.02.2025) 'up' sleeper was replaced by an IET unit due to a fault with the coaching stock. As a result, today (15.02.2025), 57603 was used to haul one of the rakes back to Reading to balance the sets ready for Sunday nights trains.
