Thursdays 'Castles'
Clive Smith

More than my usual submission but as we are in the final strait now it's time to make the most of these magnificent icons before they bow out of regular passenger work in Devon & Cornwall.

The old old & the new old
Clive Smith

Picture
I haven't seen many, if any, photos of a class 255 and a 175 side by side in the west of England. This is Plymouth on the 3rd at the start of the afternoon points failure at the west end of the station. 43198 and 43092 have arrived with the terminating 2C20 11.28 from Exeter St Davids. It did form the 2C21 13.15 to Truro which was cancelled and then formed the 2C28 14.18 to Truro which left half an hour late. This should have been 43187 & 43098. The 175 was on a training run to Liskeard. 03.12.2025, copyright Clive Smith.
Many thanks Clive - times of change.
