With just 3 days now to go until their withdrawl, I do wonder if I'll get another chance for a sunny 'Castle' photo. 43198 leads the 1014 Plymouth - Penzance past Dowgas with 43093 on the rear. Early days of HST's

A blast from the past as we mark the end of regular HST workings in the south west. Power cars 43137 and 43138 running as set 253034 pass Cowley Bridge Junction with the 10.08 Penzance - Paddington. Both were built in 1979 and 43137 for a while was named 'Newton Abbot 150'. These power cars survive today working for Scotrail in Scotland. Copyright Clive Smith.

Rail 200 Train in Southampton next week

The Rail 200 train is scheduled to be in P5 at Southampton Central station from Sunday 14th to Tuesday 16th December. A mural advertising this has been painted onto a wall under the bridge that crosses the station. Copyright Guy Vincent.
