The new Great British Railways livery

The proposed livery for the renationalised Great British Railways has been revealed to the world. An image circulated by the Department For Transport shows a mock-up colour scheme applied to a Hitachi unit. The familiar British Rail double arrow logo is prominent.

Another great piece of nostalgia from Michael Adams as we see 50023 'Howe' at Temple Meads with a Paddington to Weston Super Mare train on 14 June 1986. This engine was withdrawn just over four years later and scrapped in March 2004. Copyright Michael Adams.

Railway 200 Exhibition Train at Westbury

Following its visit to the West Somerset Railway the Railway 200 Exhibition Train departed Bishops Lydeard on Sunday evening (7th)  for Reading T&RSMD with a pathing stop at Westbury just before 1900hrs.  Locos 66710 'Karen Harrison' and 66689 (formerly 66779) 'Evening Star' topped and tailed the five carriages which were due to go onto London Paddington on 8th.

HST on film

Here is a very short video of an HST near Buckshead on the 15.30 Penzance to Plymouth service at 16.14 on the 09/12/25.
Can any of your readers know the numbers of this train please?

Many thanks Jonathan. According to Real Time Trains 2P20 yesterday was 43156 and 43189 - unless anybody knows different?
