37175 - on the clay

A photo from when 37175 was a clay loco. It's seen in a gap in the trees on the Fowey branch near Milltown with empties, it did not quite fit! 22.04.1987, copyright Roger Geach.
Many will also know 37175 spent quite a bit of time in Wales and also Scotland. 37175 is again seen here on a prefab train at Greenhill Lower junction nr Falkirk, on 16.05.1991, this location was once great to photograph the trains, but is now electrified with a high bridge, fences and growth meaning it's no longer possible. I was on board the 1935 Exeter to Cardiff with very unusually 31307 & 31163, there must has been shortage of type 4's that night! 3 June 1982.
