Paul's Football Question Answered!

Picture
Copyright Paul Barlow
Yesterday, we posted the above image with the caption:

'One from 2009 with 67019 and 67005 on a football special, 07:57 1Z70 Plymouth to Finsbury Park. I don't know who Argyle were playing but I think is was an important match! I'm sure somebody will know!'

We received the following responses:

Mike Rothery writes:

The football special in 2009 was for the FA Cup game between Argyle and Arsenal

And Thomas O'Flaherty writes:
This is presumably on the occasion of Plymouth vs Arsenal FA cup 3rd round at the Emirates Stadium on Jan 3rd 2009. Arsenal won 3-1

So there we go - presumably a bit of a sombre mood on the return working unfortunately!

Thank you Mike and Thomas for filling in the gaps.
