Okehampton Station

A pleasant journey from Sherborne to Okehampton today, on arrival I stood on the platform and imagined a voice telling passengers;” change here for trains to the Bude line, Padstow and Plymouth”. Alas the line now stops at Okehampton with the tantalising view of the rusty overgrown lines to the west now but a ghostly memory. However we are now fortunate to have regular services back on this delightful well used line once again. Copyright James Bown.
