The other four pictures were taken earlier this year at Fowey Docks - the clay loading facility by Craig Munday.

The other four pictures were taken earlier this year at Fowey Docks - the clay loading facility by Craig Munday. Nine very interesting pictures from Roger Salter. All taken Wednesday 5th December 2012. Pictures below (Left to right) An interesting shot of 66094 with weekly fuel train for Long Rock approaching Rosevidney,Nr Marazion. 66094 Weekly fuel train to Long Rock passes Rosevidney in filthy condition as just left RHTT service without being cleaned. 43186 takes me by surprise at 13.38 empty train to PZ,The 13.17 already gone into Penzance. This train then formed the 14.00 to Paddington. 57604 'Pendennis Castle' with NIGHT Riviera stock in Long Rock sidings & 66094 with weekly fuel TANK EMPTIES awaits the road. 43031 at rear of 43186 'Diamond Jubilee' Pz. -London Train at Long Rock 66094 Leaves Long Rock yard with fuel tank empties. Next Sunday 9th December 2012 all down trains will terminate and reverse at Truro. It is understood that this is to facilitate the removal of the cross-over at Roskear. The point levers for this crossing have long been removed from the box and onto a ground frame established just yards from the box.
Checking the mileage involved there will now be an extremely long section of 21 miles between Truro and St Erth without any cross overs. Whilst points are expensive items to replace it would seem very short sighted to remove this cross over, only time will tell. On Tuesday 4th December 2012 tamper DR 73907 spent much of the day in the sidings at Penzance whilst maintenance was carried out. From the external condition of this complicated track machine it is obvious that it is very nearly brand new. Many thanks to you Roger for these pictures.
Roger, who lives up north, but is from Liskeard makes regular trips back home to see mother. He was at home for Tuesday and Wednesday 27th & 28th November and despite that atrocious weather managed to get out and about to see the clay. 66005 was the 'duty loco for these four shots. Many thanks Roger.
