Some Spring Sunshine
Craig Munday

Hi there

Some recent images, including a SWT service a little off area too!

The returning 8 loaded JIAs and loco just squeezed into the shutter at Merthen Farm near Carlyon Bay on 18th Apl. 66101 provides the power. Thanks to Shona for allowing me into the meadow here.

20th we were in Andover for a family wedding. I had an hour whilst hair and makeup was attended to, and avoided the hairspray by walking up to the station. Triple set SWT 159's have plodded along this line since the end of the class 50s and 47s. 30 years with very little enthusiasm from train fans. The former middle road being very overgrown these days. There is a tidy little yard behind the station which looks, sadly, little used. The MOD branch to Ludgershall diverges here.

On 22nd I returned to Merthen Farm overbridge to see 2P08 43198 & 093 heading to Par.

Cheers

Craig

Many thanks indeed for sending in your collection of photos, Paul. Sunshine, semaphores and HST's, not a bad day out by all accounts!
