Crediton and Okehampton
James Bown

A delightful train journey from Crediton to Okehampton today. On a day of brilliant low winter sunshine the reopened lane makes for a wonderful nostalgic train journey. The cafe at Okehampton station is a must and the traveller can only wish that this line can proceed further west. Best wishes James Bown

Letter from Canada
A tribute to Craig
Victor Menhennet
Victor Menhennet a true Cornishman living in exile in  Canada writes - Hello Keith, trust that you are both well. Many thanks for your last e-mail. I have a favour to ask. Would you please forward this to Craig Munday. I only know him through what has been posted on CRS. I retained the attached images as I was so impressed with them. Used only for my enjoyment as I respect copyright. I have recently been trying to photograph locomotives in a similar environment with not too much satisfaction. In short I wonder if Craig would share his knowledge eg camera make, lens, set-up, settings etc. Anything and everything. Unfortunately we do not have such backgrounds as shown here, signal boxes, stations etc on our short line but the subject matter fascinates me. Evening and night photography is a completely different and requires different settings than, say day-time photography. A decorated Christmas Train while in motion is my main objective at this time but I'd like further options.. Currently I am using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera with a 12-40mm f/2.8 lens but I'm have some mechanical issues.
